"Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything."

About

Nadja Ganev is a composer working at the intersection of contemporary classical, cinematic, and ambient music. Her work is characterized by emotional restraint, atmospheric textures, and a deep sensitivity to melody, creating intimate musical worlds that invite reflection and stillness.

Raised in a musical family and classically trained on the violin, Nadja's connection to music began early. A lasting influence was the legacy of her grandfather, the Czech violin virtuoso Váša Příhoda, whose recordings first inspired her fascination with expressive storytelling through sound.

Although her musical foundation lies in classical performance, it was through the piano that she discovered composition. Over time, she developed a distinctive voice shaped by minimalism, film music, and a fascination with the emotional spaces that exist beneath words. Her compositions often explore themes of memory, longing, resilience, and transformation, unfolding through subtle repetition, delicate harmonic movement, and a cinematic sense of atmosphere.

Her debut as a composer was presented in the interdisciplinary performance Herzallerliebstes Nannerl, where her music accompanied dance, spoken word, and visual art in a contemporary reflection on the life of Anna Maria Mozart. The project later inspired Beyond the Veil, her debut solo piano release.

Nadja holds a degree in Film Production and Audio Engineering from Salzburg University of Applied Sciences and is currently studying Composition for Film, TV and Games at Berklee College of Music.

Alongside her artistic work, she brings more than fourteen years of experience in the media and entertainment industry, having worked with companies including Google, Telefónica, and BBDO, supporting clients such as EA, Ubisoft, Gameloft, BMW, BBC, CBS, Turner, The Guardian, and News Corp.
